Jesus' parables reveal that God's kingdom is often found in ordinary, overlooked, and even undesirable places. By paying attention to the mundane moments of daily life and standing with those who suffer, Christians can recognize and participate in God's reign already breaking into the world.

Father Casey explores Jesus' parable of the wheat and weeds through Matthew's historical context, Augustine's rejection of Donatism, and the doctrine of grace. Rather than judging others as "wheat" or "weeds," Christians are called to bear the fruit of the Spirit, trust God's judgment, and continue growing in love. He reminds us that God did not uproot any of us when we were "more weed than wheat."

On the occasion of our country’s 250th anniversary, Father Casey explores the relationship between Christian and American identity, arguing that Christian faith must remain the primary reference point. Her witness, forged in a turbulent age much like our own, emphasized prayer, worship, and deep communion with God. He challenges us, as Christians, to pursue holiness and rediscover God as the center of faith.

Mother Maddie, in her final sermon with us, reflects on the hope proclaimed at funerals and connects it to the Christian calling of all believers as a “kingdom of priests.” Through sacrificial love, service, worship, and joy, Christians participate in resurrection life and are sent into the world to proclaim the gospel through their lives.
